Tiffany van Ravenswaay
Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) fellow
Tiffany van Ravenswaay is an Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) fellow from Suriname. She has a background in Environmental Science and Environmental Management. Before the Fellowship she worked as an environmental policy officer at the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environment of the Republic of Suriname, where she has been involved in formulating national policies and coordinating projects on various environmental themes, such as Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Wastewater, Waste Management and Chemicals. She is currently based in New York City as part of the 2022 AOSIS Fellowship Program and also assist the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Suriname to the United Nations with environment related topics. Tiffany describes herself as an adventurer connected to nature, who loves her country the world’s most forested that is also a part of
the Amazon. She looks forward to completing the fellowship and becoming an international environmental law negotiator for Suriname
