We bring together changemakers and thought-leaders to share the most effective sustainability practices and highlight actionable solutions resulting in greater knowledge, connections, and collaborations to advance climate action. Since launch in 2021 we have delivered 20 events across 4 continents!

Through diverse intergenerational inter-community debate, conversations, storytelling, workshops, music, community, celebration and entertainment we are showing that together we can build the 2050 of our dreams not our nightmares.

Extreme Hangout | COP26 Glasgow

The EXTREME Hangout was launched at COP26 in Glasgow and became a leading fringe event. We took over a repurposed ferry on the River Clyde, close to the main action, where we ran an 11 day youth conference and hub. We had 200 incredible speakers from Bear Grylls to Lily Cole, 6000 visitors and 5 million video impressions.

After 10 long days, 80+ sessions, hosting over 550 speakers from 140 different nationalities...Extreme Hangout 2023 has come to a triumphant close. So much wisdom was spoken, new alliances forged, friends made and legacies ever lasting. We wrap up Extreme Hangout 2023 touching the only the surface of some of the best and most key moments witnessed on an doff our stage. Whilst the event only last 10 days, our sessions will live long on our channel, forever implanting the words spoken.

Extreme Hangout Locals are 1-2 day climate action events hosted locally, anywhere in the world, at a beach bar, school, workplace, mountain top, or community centre - anywhere for your community. Extreme Hangout Local hosts are invited to join us at COP each year when we host a 5-10 day event, but the local events happen near you in your community and are always engaging, educating and fun!

PwC Ireland hosted the Extreme Hangout Dublin' event, in association with Extreme International, with a vision of giving young changemakers a voice on the environment and inspiring environmental action. The event, in particular, showcased positive change through sustainable living. It was attended by over 1,000 PwC people at the firm’s headquarters in Dublin. In the lead up to COP28, Earth Minutes ran an ‘Extreme Hangout’ event here at Eden to celebrate the importance of youth voices within climate change leadership. The event explored climate change from the lens of football, finance and music, to ensure there was something for everyone and to encourage cross-collaboration between industries and interests. From panel discussions, action-packed workshops to live poetry readings, visitors immersed themselves in the latest environmental research and action to help us reignite the climate change conversation here in the UK
